Answerhall, for any organization people call

Your front desk, answered from what you have already published.

What time do you open. Do you take my insurance. When does the lottery open. When is the next council meeting. People ask in plain language and the answer comes from your website and calendars, with a link to the page it came from. Ask in Spanish, it answers in Spanish.

What your office answers by hand.

Every organization has a front desk, and every front desk answers the same questions all week. We ran the 80 questions parents ask most against ten Utah school websites: on average the site could answer 34. Clinics, churches, city halls and small businesses do no better. The rest become a call, an email, or a person who gave up.

  • Hours, parking, and whether you are open on Saturday.
  • What it costs, what insurance you take, and how to pay.
  • How to book, register, join, volunteer or apply.
  • Lottery dates, the waiting list, pickup rules, early release.
  • When the next meeting, service or event is, and whether it is open to the public.

Most of the missing answers are a paragraph of writing away. Answerhall shows you exactly which ones, every month.

invented phone numbers, dates or policies. When the site does not say, it says so.

Three things it will not do, and why that is the point.

It will not use anything you have not published. It reads your website and your public calendars. It never touches your records, your logins or your member, patient or student systems. That is deliberate, and it is why it can be live in a week instead of a quarter.

It will not answer without showing where the answer came from. Every reply links to the page. The person sees the sentence and the source, and your office can check any answer in one click.

It will not guess. When your site does not say, it says so: "I don't have that in the published information, please check with the office." A confident wrong answer about a closing date or a phone number is the one thing this will never do. Anything built in a weekend will.

Try it on a real organization

Schools, clinics, a mortuary, a senior community, a dance studio. Each runs on that organization's own published pages, in its own colors. Ask anything a caller would ask.

How it goes live

  1. 1

Your site and public calendars are read

Every page, handbook and public calendar. About ten minutes. Nothing is installed and nothing on your site changes.

  2. 2

    Your office tests it first

Staff get the link and stress-test the answers before anyone else sees it. Most places fix a few website gaps in this week; Answerhall shows exactly where they are.

  3. 3

Then you share it, or put it on your website

A link in the newsletter, a text, a reply, or one line of code on the site. Spanish and other languages work from day one.

  4. 4

Every month, the questions it could not answer

The list of what people asked that your site does not say. Most are a paragraph of writing to fix, and none of them need software.

The price

$349

a month, or $3,499 a year. The link itself is free, for as long as you like.

  • Your site re-read every week, so answers stay current
  • A dashboard of what people asked, what it answered, how often
  • Content that is not on the site yet, added by forwarding an email
  • On your own website, with no Answerhall line
  • Schools and public bodies: $4,999 a year on one invoice, under Utah's $5,000 threshold

See it on your own site

Give me your website address. In about ten minutes you get a link to Answerhall running on your own pages, and by email, the list of the questions your site cannot answer yet. Free, no account.

Only your public website and public calendars are read. Nothing is stored beyond building your link, and I never train anything on it.

Questions people ask before they try it

Does it see our records, logins or member data?
No. It reads only what is public on your website and calendars. It cannot see, and is never connected to, any internal system: student records, patient files, member lists, none of it.
What happens when someone asks something that is not on the site?
It says it does not have that in your published information and points them to your office. That question then appears in your monthly list.
Who owns the data?
You do. Your content is processed only as your tool and at your direction, nothing is retained beyond that, and nothing is ever used to train anything. Usage logs hold no names, cookies or addresses.
How is it priced?
Free to try and to share. The paid version is $349 a month or $3,499 a year for any organization. Schools and public bodies that need a single yearly invoice pay $4,999 a year, which sits under Utah's $5,000 direct-purchase threshold, so most can buy it without a bid process.
Can it answer by phone?
A voice line is coming in January for organizations already using Answerhall. Ask and I will keep you posted.
