Plumber Marketing

Best Plumber Marketing Agencies in 2026

By Pierre Besson, Founder of Besson Digital. Last updated April 2026.

Plumbing is an emergency trade. Most of the revenue comes from homeowners Googling at 10pm with a flooded basement. That changes what good marketing looks like compared to, say, remodeling. The agency you hire has to understand that your Google Business profile is your emergency dispatch front desk, your reviews are your only proof, and your ad spend has to be live 24/7 because pipes do not burst on a schedule. I included Besson Digital, my own shop, and I listed the agencies I would recommend to a plumber who is not my fit.

How I Ranked These Agencies

Location. Real office, not a mail drop.
Years in business. Track record, not a 3-month-old brand.
Client results. Named case studies, verifiable.
Review count. Google and third-party reviews actually exist.
Pricing transparency. Bonus for public pricing, flag when undisclosed.
Specialization. Contractor-focused, not generalist.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a plumber marketing agency cost?

Plumber marketing retainers are similar to other home service trades, typically $2,000 to $6,000 per month, with a $1,000 to $5,000 one-time setup. Emergency-heavy plumbing shops usually need to add $2,000 to $5,000 in monthly Google Ads spend, since emergency searches are almost always decided in the paid ads, not the organic map pack. Scorpion and Blue Corona sit at the high end, independent and founder-led shops sit at the lower end.

How long does plumber SEO take to work?

Faster than most trades. Plumbing search intent is transactional, Google ranks Google Business profiles quickly, and reviews compound fast when you run service calls daily. Expect a 20 to 40 percent lift in Google Business calls within the first 30 days if the profile work is done right, and meaningful organic keyword movement within 60 days. Six months is when a well-built plumbing site starts to dominate page one for non-branded searches.

Do plumbers really need an agency, or is Google Ads enough?

Google Ads alone works at first, then stops being enough. Ads costs rise every year. Without SEO, Google Business work, and a real review strategy, you rent your pipeline instead of owning it. The plumbers who pay the most per call are the ones doing only ads. The plumbers who pay the least per call are the ones who built organic presence over two or three years so ads are a topper, not the whole system.

What should a plumber look for in an agency contract?

Three deal-breakers. First, make sure you own the website, domain, and Google Business profile. Some agencies lock you out if you leave. Second, no auto-renew on long contracts. Month to month after a 60 to 90 day initial period is healthy. Third, a published cancellation policy. If the contract has a cancellation clause that requires a phone call with a retention rep, you are being set up to fight for your exit.

How do I know if my plumber marketing agency is working?

Track calls and booked jobs, not traffic. Real numbers to watch: new Google Business calls per month, new form fills per month, review count growth, and Google ranking for your top five money keywords like plumber near me and emergency plumber plus city. Traffic and impressions are vanity metrics unless they tie to a call. If your agency reports only traffic, ask them to switch to call-based reporting.
