Landscaper Marketing

Best Landscaper Marketing Agencies in 2026

By Pierre Besson, Founder of Besson Digital. Last updated April 2026.

Landscapers get the worst of both worlds in contractor marketing. They are seasonal, they compete with mow-and-go crews on price, and their best work is visual but they rarely photograph it properly. The agency you hire needs to understand hardscape versus softscape, design build versus maintenance, and how to pre-book spring cleanups in January. Most generalist agencies cannot do that. Here are the ones I would actually refer a landscaper to, including my own shop, Besson Digital.

How I Ranked These Agencies

Location. Real office, not a mail drop.
Years in business. Track record, not a 3-month-old brand.
Client results. Named case studies, verifiable.
Review count. Google and third-party reviews actually exist.
Pricing transparency. Bonus for public pricing, flag when undisclosed.
Specialization. Contractor-focused, not generalist.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a landscaper marketing agency cost?

Landscapers tend to get quoted lower than HVAC or plumbing because the average ticket size is smaller. Expect $1,500 to $4,000 per month for a real agency, with a setup fee of $500 to $3,000. Sole operators running only mowing can find subscription style services at $300 to $500 per month, though the quality drops sharply at that price point. Design build firms and hardscape specialists should budget $2,500 to $5,000 per month because the content and photography requirements are higher.

How do I market a seasonal landscaping business?

Pre-book in the off-season. Start spring campaigns in January, because homeowners are already Googling then. Run maintenance plan funnels that convert one-time mow customers into monthly retainers. Publish hardscape portfolio content all year, because patio and retaining wall buyers shop in winter for summer installs. Do not cut marketing in December, that is when you lose the spring.

What kind of photos do I need for a landscaping website?

Before and after pairs, drone shots of completed hardscape, and close-ups of plant material. Not stock photography. Google rewards sites with original imagery, and homeowners buy on what they see. A decent iPhone and a $200 drone beat any stock library. If your agency is using stock landscaping photos on your site, you are paying for work you could have done yourself.

How do I beat the mow-and-go guys on Google?

Do not compete on price, compete on specialty. Rank for design, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and sprinkler repair instead of lawn care alone. Mow-and-go crews rarely have websites that can rank for anything technical. You can own the high-ticket searches with a better site and clear specialization, then pick up routine mowing as an add-on to design build customers instead of as your entry product.

Is it worth hiring an agency if I only make $300,000 a year?

At $300,000 revenue with a solo crew, a $2,000 a month agency is probably too much, the math does not work. At $500,000 revenue it starts to work. Below that, either self-manage or hire a cheaper subscription service at $500 to $800 per month and accept that you will get less. The honest answer most agencies will not give you is that you cannot afford us yet.
